I'm trying to come up with a sustainable option for our wedding flower arrangements. I want something with a full blossom, that is native to Florida and grows in abundance.... There's also this strange instinct in me that just wants to go out and pick our flowers the day of.... It just seems incredibly authentic (and enticingly affordable)! Crape Myrtles are all over the place in Florida, blooming like crazy!! I must admit I'm growing quite fond of the beautiful blossoms. I think they would make for sweet wedding arrangements... What do you think?

Timmy and I will be having our wedding reception at the Mennello Museum of American Art. It's located within the beautiful Loch Haven Park, surrounded by lovely oaks on a fabulous lake.... We got an AMAZING deal because it was a museum.... I think the hill will be perfect for our picnic blankets!

Based on another image of inspiration (and a limited budget), Tim and I decided, about a month ago, to go with a picnic style wedding... So it is no surprise that I am in love with this wedding... Check out Snippet and Ink to see the details!

I had the most wonderful experience gown shopping in Winter Park this past Saturday. And would you know it, I actually found something?!! I ordered my dress from The Collection Bridal boutique on Park Avenue just before they closed (I spent hours trying everything on!)... The dress is designed by the oh so wonderful Jim Hjelm.... and is absolutely beautiful! I would give more details but Tim likes to read the old blog so those will just have to wait! But YAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!! I found it!!!!

1. Apothecary Beverage Dispenser $49.50
2. Glass Beverage Dispenser, Target $15.30
3. Cold Beverage Jar, Crate&Barrel $39.95
4. Beverage Server with Ice Receptacle $89.95
I love the look of clear beverage servers! I think the can really add color and vibrance to parties... Rightly so, Tim and I will definitely be using these at our reception! And, if you prefer to prop your server on stand, I found a great selection of wood, metal and wrought iron ones... here!

Hmmm... I'm thinking I'll by-pass the trouble of vintage stamps and go with this lovely new postage... What do you think? King + Queen of Hearts Stamps - $8.80 per booklet (20 Stamps)

I love the little bar or "drink buffet" in the top photo. It looks full + inviting... A must for our wedding! Oh and another must: mis-matched plates. I love the green + peachy colors pictured here. I haven't started collecting our dinnerware yet, but I have no doubt it's what we'll do!

A very beautiful, socially responsible, outdoor wedding! I love the honey jar favors!Check out the details at Country Living

Reception Venue 1 - Casa Feliz

1. The Casa Feliz - A beautiful historic home/musem located in Winter Park, Fl. Outdoor receptions are permitted on one condition - no amplified music. So we would have to go acustic. If you host an event here you are also required to use their preferred caterer, but it is not included in the price. The Saturday rental fee, for reception only is $1,800. Which isn't too bad... But more than I would like to spend. Rental includes facility, tables + chairs. What do you think?

The more I see pink and gold together, the more I love it. I like the wedding bells too, they create such a neat retro-70's feel.
