MY WORK

Hi, I'm MARY, a full-time graphic designer and freelance floral and interior stylist based in Winter Park, Florida. My husband Tim (the city's Sustainability Officer) and I are currently working on our first major home renovation to our 1970's cottage in the heart of Winter Park. Sustainable living and simplicity are the driving forces behind our passions and design philosophies.

simple fall style

This look from J.Crew is just my style. Simple, understated and a little bit tomboy.

apartment inspiration: chris barrett's house

Hey everyone! It's been quite a long while since I've been on here... Seems to be an unfortunate, reoccurring trend in 2011. This time I've been busy with work, summer, and styling/rennovating my tiny apartment. Speaking of, have you seen these photos from Chris Barrett's 1,000 square foot home featured in a recent issue of House Beautiful? I spotted them while searching for inspiration for my space and simply can't get enough. I just love the colors - the pink, the blue, the white, the wood. Just perfect. What have you been up to lately?

bathroom inspiration

This bathroom shot, from Eddie Ross's place in the premiere issue of Lonny, is one of my all time favorites. I love the tiny mirrior, matching brass wall lamps with black shades and of course the fresh flowers. That sink skirt, which was made from $1 dish towels and trimmed with a strip of black grosgrain ribbon, is pretty amazing too! I'm thinking of going with the same look in our new apartment. What do you think?

perfect notebooks

I used to have this old leather planner that I wrote everything in. It was just a monthly planner with a few extra notes pages so it was still pretty thin, which was what I admired most about it. So, it's no wonder I got super excited when I found these colorful, slim, leather notebooks by Paperthinks. They look like the perfect tool for jotting down quick thoughts and sources. Love!

p.s. They're made from recycled leather and paper too!

Summer

Right now, I'd love nothing more than to jump in the pages of the latest Toast catalog and hang out for a while.
