My husband Tim (the city's Sustainability Officer) and I are currently working on our first major home renovation to our 1970's cottage in the heart of Winter Park. Cakies is a blog + shop new to me and I love it! Rubyellen, author and creator, was a teacher who took time off to start a family, taught herself to sew and in the process created a fantastic little company. I find her story incredibly inspiring and her products incredibly cute! Anyone who gets by, doing what they love... is my favorite!
